At a far distance, it looks like two small rocky islands in the sea, with a broad dome shape and gently sloping sides, some parts of it having red-colored residue. This is the Puhahonu shield volcano in Hawaii.
A shield volcano is a volcano made almost entirely by lava flows.
This discovery came up after a group of researchers, scientists, volcanologists and ocean explorers from the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology used several lines of evidence to determine its volcanic activity.
Extremely hot

1700 °C is the temperature confirmed from the extremely hot mantle, with large volumes of magma. There has been no other as, hot shield volcano discovery in the last 65 Million years.
In conclusion, it is important to note that the seafloor is a great science frontier. This I believe and more discoveries are yet to be made in the near future.
